International Master Daniel Rivera Kuzawka is a prominent figure in Uruguayan chess. He was the Absolute Uruguayan Champion in 1982 and 1985, and earned the International Master title in 1993.
Living in Spain for decades, he has built an extensive career as a coach and instructor, especially in Galicia, and earned the FIDE Trainer title in 2015. He has also worked with Uruguayan national teams in various Olympiads, serving as captain of the Uruguayan open team in Chennai 2022 and coach of the women's team in Budapest 2024, among other roles.
His career combines high-level competition, teaching, and player development in both Uruguay and Spain.
