Pensar Mejor: Estrategia, Cálculo y Dinamismo reúne seis clases de alto contenido estratégico pensadas para jugadores que quieren profundizar su comprensión del ajedrez más allá de las variantes concretas. A lo largo del curso, tres destacados maestros abordan temas esenciales para tomar mejores decisiones frente al tablero: cómo combinar intuición y cálculo, cuándo una entrega de material tiene verdadera compensación, cómo comprender estructuras con peones doblados, cómo descubrir jugadas difíciles de ver y de qué manera valorar correctamente los factores dinámicos de una posición. El GM Diego Flores trabaja la relación entre intuición y cálculo, además de los sacrificios posicionales. El GM Andrés Rodríguez profundiza en los sacrificios de peón y en la comprensión de los peones doblados. Finalmente, el MI Daniel Rivera aborda dos temas especialmente ligados a la creatividad y la comprensión profunda: las jugadas invisibles y el dinamismo. No es un curso centrado en memorizar aperturas ni en acumular variantes. El objetivo es desarrollar herramientas de pensamiento que puedan aplicarse en posiciones muy diferentes.
Grandmaster Andrés Rodríguez Vila is the best Uruguayan player of all time. Alongside his playing career, he specializes in chess teaching and improvement across all levels, placing special emphasis on working with young talents and high performance. His educational activities take place mainly in Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil and Mexico, but he has also given lectures and courses in countries as diverse as Chile, Colombia and Spain. GM Diego Flores is one of the leading figures in contemporary Argentine chess. He earned his Grandmaster title in 2008 and reached a peak FIDE rating of 2634. A multiple Argentine champion—matching Miguel Najdorf's historic record of titles—he has represented his country in seven Chess Olympiads and won the 2018 Dubai Open. He combines a deep chess culture with a remarkable ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
IM Daniel Rivera
International Master Daniel Rivera Kuzawka is one of the leading figures in Uruguayan chess. He was the Absolute Uruguayan Champion in 1982 and 1985 and earned the International Master title in 1993. Living in Spain for decades, he has built an extensive career as a coach and trainer, especially in Galicia, and was awarded the FIDE Trainer title in 2015. He has also worked with Uruguayan national teams in various Olympiads, serving, among other roles, as captain of the Uruguayan open team in Chennai 2022 and coach of the women's team in Budapest 2024. His career combines high-level competition, teaching, and player development, both in Uruguay and Spain.
