This course brings together six fundamental topics to improve strategic understanding and practical performance for the chess player. Grandmasters Andrés Rodríguez and Diego Flores present ideas, methods and examples applicable to different structures and competitive situations.
Throughout the journey, we study the Hedgehog System, standout games from the 2024 Candidates Tournament, handling the isolated pawn, attacks with opposite-side castling, structures with the f5 pawn and decision-making under pressure.
A varied and practical proposal to recognize plans, evaluate critical moments and handle complex positions with greater confidence.
Grandmaster Andrés Rodríguez Vila is the best Uruguayan player of all time. Alongside his playing career, he specializes in chess teaching and improvement across all levels, placing special emphasis on working with young talents and high performance. His educational activities take place mainly in Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil and Mexico, but he has also given lectures and courses in countries as diverse as Chile, Colombia and Spain.
