Repertoire and Strategy: Decisions That Make the Difference brings together six courses by Grandmaster Andrés Rodríguez that combine concrete opening ideas with strategic concepts applicable to a wide variety of positions.
Throughout this collection you will continue to deepen your knowledge of the Caro-Kann Defense and discover new resources to face the English Opening. You will also study modern approaches in the Sicilian variants with 2…e5 and learn how to navigate the Sämisch System in the Queen's Indian Defense.
The journey also includes two fundamental strategic themes: favorable tension and the difference between temporary and permanent weaknesses. Understanding these concepts will allow you to better evaluate each position, avoid hasty decisions, and recognize the right moment to maintain, resolve, or take advantage of a tension.
Rather than memorizing lines, the goal is for you to understand the ideas behind the moves, connect the opening with the middlegame, and make decisions with greater precision.
