Openings and Structures: Keys to Playing with a Plan brings together six courses by Grandmaster Andrés Rodríguez focused on the strategic understanding of positions and incorporating new tools into your opening repertoire.
Throughout this collection, you will discover fresh ideas in the Caro-Kann Defense and concrete proposals to face the English Opening. You will also dive deeper into essential concepts such as weak squares and various pawn structures: doubled pawns, the isolated pawn, and pawns advanced to the sixth rank.
Rather than just memorizing variations or general rules, you will learn to interpret the characteristics of each position, identify its strengths and weaknesses, choose appropriate plans, and make decisions with greater confidence.
