Over seven sessions, real tournament situations are worked on: game preparation, decision making, emotional management, self-analysis, performance under pressure, and building a personal improvement plan.
The course combines the practical experience of titled masters with concrete tools to compete better, maintain focus, and turn every game into a learning opportunity.
It is not focused on memorizing openings, but on developing criteria, habits, and resources that can be directly applied in competition.
Grandmaster Andrés Rodríguez Vila is the best Uruguayan player of all time. Alongside his playing career, he specializes in chess teaching and improvement across all levels, placing special emphasis on working with young talents and high performance. FM Nicolás López Azambuja is a FIDE Master, FIDE Trainer, psychologist, and sociologist from Uruguay. He has competed nationally and internationally since 2004, became the Uruguayan Champion in 2014, and represented Uruguay in the 2014 and 2018 Chess Olympiads. He also has extensive teaching experience, developing an approach that integrates chess training with the psychological and practical aspects of competition.
